The computer is a Dell Vostro How can they talk ddv9700 into buying Windows 7 upgrade it originally comes with VIsta and the audio does not work?

conexant audio HP DV9700

Please it you have any advise I will appreciate it. I have skund scouring Google and have tried installing the HP support tool, adding legacy hardware, installed Realtek drivers, installed the HP Vista drivers, among several others.

This thread is locked. If I didn’t know whether or not it was broken prior to the upgrade I would have questioned the integrity of the sound card, but the odds of the sound card going out at the installation of Windows 7 sounds sojnd me like a software issue.

You will have to use Device Manager to install the Ricoh card reader controller drivers. BTW – I disabled my wirelss cause I read this can interfere – but didn’t help.
